The prompt of this project was to redesign the packaging of an outdoors/sports product. I chose to redesign Lightning Nugget Firestarters, a product I thought would be incredibly useful for amateur campers, but whose packaging currently looked like something out of the early 90s, clip art flames and all. I redesigned it as a product that could potentially be sold at higher end lifestyle stores, and potentially at a higher price.

The new packaging stores the firestarters more securely, so you don't run the risk of getting sawdust in your sleeping bag. The burlap material inside the tin provides extra cushion for the nuggets to fit snugly inside the tin. The design of the packaging invokes a sense of adventure and wilderness in its hand drawn typography, wood textures, and pattern on the inside of the tin.

This campaign is targeted towards young people with a sense of adventure, those who have an extensive bucket list of exciting things they want to do with their life.
